ASC Response Boats

 

Lucinda [? rego no]

  • 9 m Brown Brothers trawler. White fiberglass hull and roof. Small cabin, enclosed head (toilet). No galley. Stern boarding platform.
  • Thumping great big noisy diesel. Speed 12 kts. [10?] adults. Not beachable or trailerable. Ocean capable.

YellowGlenn [? rego no]

  • 4.5 m Polycraft centre console open runabout. Double skin bright yellow hull, foam filled, unsinkable.
  • 50 hp Yamaha 4-stroke (standard unleaded petrol, NO oil). 4 adults. Speed 23 kts. Beachable but antifouled. No trailer (special trailer needed). Ocean-capable with experienced crew.
  • Callsign YellowGlenn. Fixed VHF.

  • Currently stored at RPAYC and brought around to ASC on sailing days by boat person.

  • 3.5 m Aquila RIB (rigid inflatable). grey hull and tubes.
  • Usually use Yamaha 8 hp 4-stroke outboards (standard unleaded petrol, NO oil). 6 adults. Speed 9 kts. Beachable. Not ocean capable. No trailers, trailerable.
  • A Timber cradle to fit onto a Box trailer, kept at back of Nippa section
  • Callsign Greg Rib. Hand held VHF.

  • Used for coaching (particularly learn to sail and slower centreboards), tender, response work. Can lay marks with care.
