Managing ethanol / petrol mix for powerboats
You may well be ruining your engine ... It’s increasingly difficult not to buy petrol with 10% ethanol. This can cause more problems in boats than it does in cars, because we hang onto old boats longer than we do cars, and we use fuel less frequently and store it for longer.

Link to CYCA Internal Inquiry into the loss of Pricewaterhouse Coopers (formerly Shockwave)
In the early hours of 10th October 2009, the yacht Pricewaterhouse Coopers ran aground on Flinders Islet during the running of the Flinders Islet Race conducted by the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA).
Two highly regarded and experienced sailors, Andrew Short and Sally Gordon, were tragically lost along with the yacht.
The CYCA has produced an internal report which should be read by all those who venture offshore, be it racing or cruising.
Here is a link to the CYCA website which includes the link through to the report.
