The new format was a winner with our junior sailors, now we can hit the ground running in the new season.

Session focus: Boat handling: Tacking and gibing
Drills: tacking and gybing on whistle. Circling, figure of eights.
Well to all the doubters including me, we did it! In and out while the fickle breeze was there and no cold sailors too!
Many thanks to all the parents who helped out with the day and great egg and bacon sanggers from DI and Zoom.
Great work by our coaches Jeremy, Bridgette and Pete with lots of smiling faces and sailors claiming they learnt something, extaordinary! Well done coaching team and thanks to Josh for organizing them.

Session focus: Boat handling: top and bottom marks.
Drills: short windward lewards. Practise bear away sets, gybe sets, normal
drops and gybe drops. Practise taking correct route around mark to maintain
boat speed.27th June

Drills: straight-lining with gate starts. Rudderless sailing or use rope
extension rather than solid. Downwind sailing with out holding tiller
extension.
